You can imagine I have photographed a number of Cabin weddings in the Smoky Mountains! When I get an inquiry from someone looking to travel to #Gatlinburg to get married they either already have a plan and a venue in place or they are looking for recommendations to get married! I decided to compile a list of my faves! Here are the best cabins to get married at in Gatlinburg:
1) Four Sisters
Four sister's is a photographer's dream! The interior is white and has SO much natural light! This would be great for an elopement with a few people on the balcony OR if you want to have it inside- the basement is all white with floor to ceiling panoramic window views of the #Smokies! This isn't your typical cabin with all of the brown wood casting brown/orange/red hues in your photos it is a white dream! Located off of Skyline drive this cabin just a short distance to downtown Gatlinburg and also close to a location I use with mountain views for bride and groom portraits!
2) Tri-Star Lodge
They also have instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tristarlodge/?hl=en
Tri Star Lodge is a favorite because they have a stone patio area with beautiful views of the Smokies and cute string lights lighting the patio! At the wedding I did there we had the guest watch from the balcony above because the patio is small but SO worth it! I have a little video on #TikTok from this wedding: https://www.tiktok.com/@captured_by_chelsey/video/7027456109581454597?is_copy_url=1&is_from_webapp=v1
3) Roosevelt Lodge
#therooseveltlodge is one of the very FEW cabins in Gatlinburg with a yard! This beautiful and massive stone cabin has a side yard with gorgeous blue mountains peeking through the trees! There is so much seating inside to accommodate guests for dinner that my couple just moved all of the chairs down to the yard for their ceremony! NO chair or table rentals for those brining guests!
4) Greystone Pointe Lodge
Greystone Pointe Lodge is also close to #downtowngatlinburg and has uncovered balconies that will fit several guests with mountain views as well as a massive living room with floor to ceiling panoramic views of the Smokies! So rain/shine or any season your have an option! This cabin also sleeps like a billion people so you and your guests can all stay in one place! Here is a video I did there and some photos: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cfe2zn4lJOd/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
5) Rabbit Run
I have never shot a wedding here but that massive open deck and all the natural light here would be PERFECT to host a wedding!
6) Judy Top Lodge
Another one I haven't shot at but it has a gravel area with string lights overlooking the mountains!
Remember its important from a photo standpoint to plan your ceremony and b&G portraits around good lighting (preferably close to sunset!) You want to avoid balconies with overhangs and tight dark spaces. Avoid dark or brown cabins with few windows. If you have any questions feel free to reach out and ask!
